Chilliwack, British Columbia – A 68-year-old man has been taken into custody after a woman was discovered dead in a Chilliwack home on Wednesday afternoon. Police were called to the residence on Teton Avenue at 1 p.m. where they found the body of a 66-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, the suspect was found at the scene and was arrested without incident on suspicion of murder. Initial evidence suggests that the incident was isolated and involved three family members, posing no ongoing risk to the public.
In respect for the privacy of the victim’s family and to avoid hindering the investigation, IHIT has chosen not to release the victim’s name at this time.
