Attack on Vikarabad Collector: Government Vows Justice for Officials and Punishment for Instigators

Hyderabad, India – After the recent attack on Vikarabad Collector Prateek Jain and other officials, IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu of the Kodangal Urban Development Authority (KUDA) has vowed not to spare those behind the violence. The attack took place during a public hearing on a proposed pharma unit in Lagcherla village, leading to strong condemnation from the government.

During a press conference at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) office, Minister Babu emphasized that any assaults on government officials and public property will be taken seriously and dealt with according to the law. He pointed fingers at those who incited the locals and orchestrated the attack, promising that they will face consequences once the police inquiry reveals the masterminds behind the incident.

The opposition’s alleged focus on political gains rather than the welfare of farmers was criticized by Minister Babu, who highlighted the democratic channels available for expressing dissent without resorting to violence. He expressed concerns about a covert agenda aimed at hindering industrial growth in the state, emphasizing the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s leadership.

Furthermore, Minister Babu suggested a negative propaganda campaign by BRS and BJP against the Congress government, possibly linked to the upcoming Assembly elections in neighboring Maharashtra. As the investigation continues, the people of Telangana are eagerly awaiting the outcome and hoping for swift justice to be served against those responsible for the attack on Collector Prateek Jain and his colleagues.
