NEOPIT, Wis. — A federal jury has convicted a 32-year-old man of burglary and assault after he brutally attacked his girlfriend on the Menominee Indian Reservation. Neegee J. Cloud faces serious charges stemming from a violent incident that took place last September.
According to prosecutors, the assault occurred when Cloud allegedly broke into his girlfriend’s home on September 20, 2024. After entering the residence, he reportedly assaulted her, leaving her unconscious. Court documents revealed that he returned multiple times to deliver further blows, striking her in the head with fists and feet. Portions of this horrific incident were captured on the victim’s security system, ultimately leading to Cloud’s arrest right outside her home.
The severity of the attack left the victim with life-threatening injuries, including multiple fractures and significant damage to her throat. She was hospitalized for nearly a month and spent two weeks in intensive care to receive treatment for her injuries.
With the conviction in hand, Cloud now faces a possible sentence of up to 30 years in prison. He is scheduled for sentencing on November 10, 2025.
