Manhunt: Windsor Police Seek Second Suspect in Violent Stabbing Incident

Windsor, Ontario, authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating a second suspect involved in a violent stabbing incident that took place in the city’s downtown area. Following an altercation where the victim was stabbed multiple times and struck with a metal pole, one suspect has been apprehended, while the search continues for the other individual.

The Windsor Police Service responded to a report of an assault late Monday evening near Pelissier Street and Erie Street West. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a 38-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. An investigation revealed that a verbal dispute among the victim and two other men escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in the stabbing and assault with a metal pole.

Authorities are now looking for Skylar Scott, a 30-year-old Indigenous male, who is wanted on charges including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon. Scott is described as being of medium build, roughly five feet, 10 inches tall, with long, curly black hair pulled back in a ponytail, and was last seen wearing a grey shirt and beige pants or shorts during the incident.

In a separate development, 39-year-old Jeffrey Major was located and arrested on charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue. The swift apprehension of Major provides some relief to the investigation, but authorities seek the community’s help in capturing the remaining suspect, Skylar Scott, to bring about justice for the victim and ensure public safety in Windsor.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Skylar Scott or details related to the incident is urged to contact the Windsor Police Service immediately. The collaboration between law enforcement and the community is crucial in swiftly resolving cases of violence and maintaining the security and well-being of all residents in Windsor.
