Minneapolis: Second Suspect Arrested in Bar Zia Shooting That Left One Dead and Three Injured

Minneapolis, Minnesota — Authorities have charged a second suspect in connection with a shooting incident at Bar Zia that left one man dead and three others injured last month. The October 7 attack shocked patrons in the downtown venue and raised concerns about safety within the area.

Dantrell Dajuan Clark, 24, faces several serious charges including one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to the criminal complaint. The violence erupted on a Saturday night, about 11:36 p.m., when police received reports of shots fired inside the bar.

Upon arrival, officers discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds on the dance floor. Tragically, one victim, struck multiple times, was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining three victims, though wounded, were treated for leg injuries and are expected to survive.

Investigators have gathered crucial information from surveillance footage captured at the scene, depicting the chaos that unfolded. The footage shows a single gunman opening fire from a very close range while being assisted by two others. Law enforcement officials identified the shooter as Arlonzo Williams, while Clark and another individual were also implicated in the incident.

The captured video reveals the trio arriving together in a silver Chevrolet sedan. They were seen entering and exiting Bar Zia multiple times, seemingly coordinating their actions just prior to the eruption of violence. Key moments from the footage depict Clark and Williams observing the entrance while signaling toward the eventual victim.

Seconds before the gunfire, Clark is observed striking the victim repeatedly, enabling Williams to pull out a handgun and fire at close range. Following the attack, both Clark and Williams fled the scene in the same vehicle, complicating efforts to apprehend them quickly.

As investigations continue, officials are urging witnesses to come forward with any information regarding the incident. Community members expressed their concerns over safety in the downtown area, prompting local leaders to discuss further measures to improve security in nightlife venues. The tragic events of that night have left a mark on the community, highlighting the need for ongoing dialogue about public safety and violence prevention.

The shooting at Bar Zia stands as a stark reminder of the increasingly urgent challenges that cities like Minneapolis face in maintaining safe environments for residents and visitors alike.
