Kajang, Malaysia – A 17-year-old student was the victim of a violent road rage incident near Saujana Impian, Kajang, where he suffered a broken nose after being repeatedly punched by a 39-year-old man. The suspect, identified as a travel agency consultant, was apprehended by the police following the altercation that took place around 2:15 pm on a Friday. The confrontation, initially described as a “traffic misunderstanding,” quickly escalated into a physical assault, leaving the teenager with severe facial injuries that required immediate medical attention at Kajang Hospital.
According to Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, the victim sustained a nasal bone fracture and received treatment at the hospital. Despite the discovery that the young driver was operating without a valid license and had received a traffic summons, authorities emphasized that the violent assault was inexcusable. The suspect was taken into custody around 9:50 pm to aid in the ongoing investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt and Section 279 of the Penal Code. Police urged potential witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist the investigation. The suspect will remain in custody as the authorities continue their inquiries into the matter.
