Orlando, Florida – A man and two teenagers have been arrested following a fatal shooting that took place during a drug deal in Orange County. The incident occurred at Summerset at International Crossing Apartments in Oak Ridge, resulting in the death of one man and the injury of a woman.
The suspects, identified as David Germosen, 20; Jasmyah Gabriel Estrada, 18; and Germosen’s 14-year-old brother, were apprehended after the shooting incident. Germosen faces a charge of second-degree murder, while Estrada has been charged with third-degree murder. The younger Germosen was arrested for resisting arrest.
Authorities responded to reports of a car crash on Oak Ridge Road and South John Young Parkway, where they discovered Edson Gordiano, 18, who had sustained gunshot wounds, and his sister Julie Gordiano, 20, who had been grazed by a bullet. A bag suspected to contain marijuana was found in their vehicle.
Despite being rushed to a hospital, Edson Gordiano succumbed to his injuries. Julie Gordiano revealed that the shooting occurred during a drug deal, where masked men approached their vehicle and opened fire, resulting in her brother’s tragic death.
Following a thorough investigation, surveillance footage from the apartment complex implicated Germosen as the shooter. Germosen’s mother identified him from the video, confirming his involvement. Both Germosen and Estrada are currently in custody at Orange County Jail, while the younger Germosen has been taken to a juvenile facility.
