St. Louis, Missouri – Homicide detectives are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident in the Columbus Square neighborhood that resulted in the deaths of two men from the metro-east area and left three others wounded. The victims have been identified as Damon Lawson, 26, and Darrien Abrams, 20, both residents of East St. Louis.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police responded to a call near Eighth and Carr Street late on Sunday evening, where they discovered multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Sadly, Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Abrams was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, a 24-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet during the shooting but chose not to seek medical attention.
