Stabbing Incident Erupts in Pattaya After Minor Collision Escalates

PATTAYA, Thailand – A violent altercation between two motorcycle taxi drivers in Central Pattaya was captured on CCTV camera. The dispute began when one motorcycle, driven by a taxi driver, accidentally collided with a civilian’s vehicle. Despite the minor incident, the driver did not press charges and continued on his way. However, a young man in a motorcycle taxi uniform confronted him shortly after, aggressively questioning him about the hit-and-run.

The victim attempted to avoid escalating the situation and met with a friend, another motorcycle taxi driver named Kak. As they traveled through Soi Buakhao 15, two assailants in motorcycle taxi uniforms followed and blocked their path. The altercation escalated into a physical fight, resulting in one of the attackers stabbing the victim with a knife, causing severe injuries.

The victim, Rewat Saechua, 37, sustained multiple stab wounds and required medical attention at Pattaya City Hospital. Subsequently, the incident was reported to Pattaya Police Station for further investigation. The police were able to track down the suspects, two young motorcycle taxi drivers identified as 17-year-old “Naw” and 20-year-old “Supachok,” who were involved in the attack.

Naw admitted to wielding the knife during the altercation, which originated from the earlier collision between the victim and another vehicle. The suspects pursued the victim to settle the matter, which then escalated into a violent confrontation. Both attackers have been charged with severe assault, causing serious injury, and violating the Knife Act. Legal proceedings are ongoing as the police continue their investigation into the incident.
