Texas man claims he killed his mom with witchcraft and sends a Snapchat of her dead and bloody body

FORT WORTH, TX – A chilling photograph shared on social media led police to a grisly crime scene in Fort Worth, where a man confessed to killing his mother in what he called an exorcism, according to local authorities.

Alexander Taylor Valdez, 23, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his mother, Teresita Sayson, 58. The Fort Worth Police Department arrived at his residence in the early hours of Friday after receiving an alarming report about a concerning Snapchat image. An anonymous caller informed police about a photo circulating in a group chat that depicted a woman on the floor covered in what appeared to be blood.

Upon arrival at the location on Farmers Branch Street, police found Valdez at the door, his clothes stained with blood and holding what looked like a Bible. He reportedly declared, “It was an exorcism,” before calmly exiting the house and sitting on the porch.

When questioned about his bloody appearance, Valdez allegedly told officers, “I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom.” He then revealed there was a deceased person inside, later identified as his mother.

Inside the home, officers discovered Sayson’s lifeless body in the master bedroom, showing signs of severe trauma to her face and upper body. A dead dog was also found in the room.

Investigators believe a jewelry box found in the room, which was covered in blood and hair matching the victim’s, was likely used to inflict the fatal injuries on Sayson. The grim Snapchat photo reportedly showed the victim, the deceased pet, and blood splatters across the walls and carpet.

As police detained Valdez, he invoked his right to seek legal counsel, opting not to provide any further commentary on the situation. Currently held at the Tarrant County Jail, his bail has been set at $750,000.

The horrifying details surrounding this case have left a community both shocked and saddened, highlighting the disturbing nature of the crime and the growing role of social media in revealing such events. Valdez awaits further legal proceedings as investigations continue.
