Krystofer Brooks, 20, now sits in the Hennepin County Jail, facing charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter after Minneapolis-area authorities allege he fatally shot his girlfriend while inside their home. The grim incident unfolded when Brooks reportedly called 911, telling dispatchers through tears that he had accidentally shot his girlfriend in the head “while clearing his firearm.”
