BOSTON, MA – A woman from Massachusetts was charged with the murder of a 65-year-old man found dead on a houseboat in Charlestown. The disturbing case saw Nora Nelson, 24, arraigned on Feb. 7 for the killing of Joseph Donahue, a lawyer residing in the maritime neighborhood.
Police discovered Donahue’s body on Feb. 2 during a wellness check, and the scene they described was grim. Donahue was found on the vessel, wrapped in a white and blue covering and duct-taped with weights attached.
Investigators revealed that he had been stabbed multiple times, pointing to the severity by noting that part of a knife blade had broken off in his skull.
The initial findings paint a chilling picture of the events that unfolded. At the time of the police visit, Nelson, who responded to the door, appeared evasive when questioned about Donahue’s whereabouts, claiming he was at a strip club.
