Actor Johnny Wactor Fatally Shot in Los Angeles Catalytic Converter Theft Incident

Los Angeles, California – The tragic death of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor has shocked his family and the entertainment community. Wactor met a terrible fate when he interrupted thieves attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car in downtown Los Angeles, according to a statement from his family on Sunday.

Reportedly, the fatal shooting took place at around 3 a.m. Saturday as Wactor confronted three men near his vehicle. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.

Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, shared with local news outlet ABC 7 that her son, aged 37, had just left work with a coworker from a rooftop bar when he noticed someone tampering with his car. Mistaking it for a towing, Wactor approached the suspect, who was wearing a mask, and tragically was met with gunfire.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle as Wactor was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As of now, authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting.

Known for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022, Wactor was described by his agent, David Shaul, as a beacon of moral integrity and resilience.
