Altercation Turns Fatal: Chicago Man Shot in Broad Daylight Outside Austin Neighborhood

CHICAGO — A man is dead after a violent confrontation in the Austin neighborhood early Friday morning, according to authorities. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the vicinity of the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street.

Emergency responders transported the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Pierre White.
