Arrest- 3rd Suspect Apprehended in Fatal Orlando Shooting Case

Orlando, Florida – A third arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in February in the Rosemont neighborhood of Orlando. The shooting resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to six others. The incident took place on Feb. 28 around 11 p.m., near the intersection of Ironwedge Drive and S. Lake Orlando Parkway.

Upon responding to the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the body of 21-year-old James Jerry Williams, who had been fatally shot. According to authorities, video evidence indicates that Williams fired the first shot before being fatally shot by another individual armed with a firearm. The shooting was reportedly the result of an altercation between two groups that had occurred earlier that Wednesday.

The dispute that led to the shooting allegedly stemmed from a disagreement over the non-return of a vehicle by an agreed-upon date. Following an investigation, the Fugitive Investigative Unit arrested 20-year-old Daiquan Noah Robinson on Thursday in connection with the incident. Robinson faces charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and carrying a concealed firearm.

In addition to Robinson’s arrest, another individual, 40-year-old Shamika Rose Stubbs-Peterson, was arrested by the FIU on Monday. Stubbs-Peterson is facing charges including burglary of an occupied conveyance with battery, providing false reports to law enforcement, providing false information during a criminal investigation, and battery.

The initial arrest in this case was made shortly after the shooting when Wayne Anthony Grant Jr. was taken into custody. Grant Jr. faced charges of aggravated battery in connection with the incident. Police continue to urge anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Orlando Police Department or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477 for assistance.
