Miami-Dade County, Florida – A Miami man was arrested on Tuesday for the fatal shooting of a woman in northwest Miami-Dade the day before. Jalen Leon Bradley, 27, of Overtown, is facing charges of second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and evidence tampering.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, according to Miami-Dade police. Emergency personnel responded to the location of a Family Dollar store in Miami-Dade County’s West Little River area, where they discovered the woman dead. Surveillance footage identified the suspect’s vehicle as a black Kia Optima, which was later impounded by authorities. Bradley was located in the 8000 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue and confessed to the killing, with a box of ammunition found in his car.

Bradley has a history of convictions, including battery on a law enforcement officer, carrying a concealed weapon, and grand theft. He is currently being held without bond at Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
