Girrawheen, Western Australia – Police in Western Australia made significant arrests over the weekend related to a violent attack in Girrawheen. During the search of multiple properties in Nollamara, officers discovered handcuffs, a police badge wallet, a police brim hat, and jewelry at one residence. This led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman. Additionally, a 48-year-old woman, alleged to have driven the suspects to and from the Girrawheen home on the night of the attack, was arrested in Balcatta.
Following these arrests, authorities apprehended another individual, Doukoshkan, at a residence in Osborne Park, where they also recovered jewelry. Doukoshkan, along with two others involved, are expected to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Monday.
The victims of the attack, Ninette and Philip Simons, spoke out publicly last week, sharing the harrowing details of their ordeal in the hopes of aiding the investigation. Recounting the traumatic experience, Philip emphasized the vulnerability of his wife, a cancer patient who had recently been discharged from the hospital. He described hearing her screams and the sounds of violence during the attack.
Expressing her feelings of helplessness during the incident, Ninette revealed that she believed she would not survive the ordeal. She recalled the moment of being physically assaulted despite complying with the demands of the perpetrators. The traumatic event left her questioning her survival and the brutality of the assault she endured.
The arrests in connection to the Girrawheen attack bring a sense of closure and justice for the victims, while also highlighting the dedication of law enforcement in addressing such violent crimes in the community.
