SILVER SPRING, Md. — Authorities in Montgomery County are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying six individuals involved in an assault on four unhoused individuals in Silver Spring. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning on Ellsworth Drive.
Reports indicate that at approximately 4:43 a.m., five male suspects and one female suspect exited a Honda Civic and approached four individuals who were sleeping in the vicinity. The suspects proceeded to physically assault the victims, including punching a woman who was asleep, breaking her phone, and attacking two men who were resting on a bench. Another man was also chased by the suspects. Following the assault, two of the victims required medical attention and were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
