Assault Suspects Sought in Violent Attack on Man in East Charlotte

Charlotte, North Carolina – Detectives in Charlotte are actively investigating a violent assault that took place in east Charlotte, seeking to identify those responsible for the incident. The assault occurred in the early hours of Sunday, June 16, in a parking lot situated along Independence Boulevard near Long Avenue. Authorities are working to piece together the events that led to the altercation.

According to Detective Clyburn, the brother of the injured individual returned to help him following the assault. The injured man was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. Surveillance footage from the scene captured the altercation, showing one of the brothers approaching a person on an ATV before being struck by a dirt bike. The footage continues with the ATV colliding with the brother, followed by the person on the ATV physically assaulting him.

Clyburn expressed dismay over the lack of remorse displayed by the individuals involved in the incident, highlighting the urgency for community members to assist in identifying the perpetrators. She emphasized the importance of avoiding confrontations that have the potential to escalate into violence, advising individuals to seek safety and contact authorities when faced with such situations.
