PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a victim of a violent assault and robbery that occurred in early April 2024. The incident, captured on video and circulated on social media, shows a young man being brutally attacked, rendered unconscious, and robbed of his cash. The assault took place on the 400-block of George Street between April 4 and April 6.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Prince George are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward. While the faces of those involved are obscured in the released photo, authorities are hopeful that someone will recognize the individuals and provide crucial details about the incident. Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP, emphasized the importance of the victim coming forward to receive support from the RCMP Victim Services unit.
“We are encouraging the victim to come forward and speak with a police officer. Our RCMP Victim Services unit is here to help the victims of violent crime navigate traumas they have experienced,” Cooper stated. The RCMP is prepared to assist the victim should they choose to share their experience with law enforcement.
