Authorities responded shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to Northwest 35th Avenue, following reports of a man being bitten. Upon their arrival, Broward Sheriff’s deputies found Claude LaFort suffering from multiple injuries. Disturbing aerial footage from the scene showed blood staining the sidewalk, highlighting the severity of the attack.
Witnesses recounted the alarming scene. One neighbor described seeing the dogs rushing towards LaFort, exclaiming, “Oh my God, they’re gonna kill him.” Observers reported hearing barking and growling before the dogs approached the victim, creating a tense and frightening atmosphere in the neighborhood.
