Attack’s Aftermath: Man Who Shot at Sheffield House Jailed for Years

Sheffield, England – A man who evaded authorities for six months after a violent attack in Sheffield has finally been sentenced to jail. Thomas Fenlon, 36, faced charges for shooting at a house and assaulting three individuals, including two teenagers. Alongside his brother Michael Fenlon, the pair targeted a property on Landseer Close on September 17th, resulting in significant injuries to the victims.

During the attack, one man was stabbed multiple times in the head, while a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were also subjected to violence. The violence left the teenagers traumatized, with police noting that their lives were forever altered by the events of that evening. Sheffield Crown Court learned of the brutal nature of the attack, with one victim enduring a prolonged assault and another having a chair thrown at them during the chaos.

While Michael Fenlon was apprehended on the same day of the attack and later sentenced to eight years and six months in prison, Thomas Fenlon managed to remain on the run until he turned himself in to authorities in March. He was subsequently sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. Additionally, he was handed a 10-year restraining order forbidding any contact with the victims or witnesses of the case.

Detective Constable Megan Pryce highlighted the heinous nature of the attack, emphasizing that the Fenlon brothers displayed a complete disregard for the harm they caused. Pryce stressed that the violent and aggressive nature of the assault, especially toward the young victims, was deeply disturbing and has had lasting effects on their well-being. The court’s decision to hold Thomas Fenlon accountable for his actions sends a strong message about the consequences of such violent behavior.
