Bicycle Drive-By Shooting Leaves Two Dead and One Injured in Las Vegas

Las Vegas – A man accused of a deadly drive-by shooting on a bicycle allegedly had a history of conflict with one of the victims, Las Vegas police documents revealed. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 5 at a 24-hour slot bar on Tropicana Avenue near Nellis Boulevard.

When police arrived at the scene, they found two women and a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Both women succumbed to their injuries, while the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The victims were identified as Summer Lange and an unidentified woman.

Witnesses reported that the suspect, Jason Manuel, fled the scene on a bicycle after the shooting. The third victim disclosed to police a prior feud with Manuel, stemming from accusations of impropriety with Manuel’s wife, which escalated into violence.

The victim recounted a previous encounter with Manuel at a bus stop, where Manuel allegedly fired shots in his direction. On the night of the shooting, the victim, his wife, and Lange were outside the establishment when Manuel approached and opened fire.

Employees of the bar identified Manuel as the shooter, noting his frequent presence at the location. Surveillance footage captured Manuel arriving on a bike, firing at the victims, and fleeing the scene. Manuel, with a history of convictions in Nevada and California, was apprehended in California on April 1 and taken into custody pending extradition to Las Vegas.

In Las Vegas, Manuel faces charges of two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and one count of attempted murder. Despite the gravity of the charges, booking photo for Manuel was not immediately available for public viewing. The investigation into the motive and events leading up to the triple-shooting continues as law enforcement works to bring justice to the victims and their families.
