Burglary Victim Left with Serious Injuries in Seacombe Attack

Seacombe, Merseyside – A 68-year-old man was left seriously injured after a violent burglary at his home on Stanley Close. The victim suffered a broken jaw, cheekbone, and eye socket as a result of the attack, which took place around 4:20 pm on Monday, March 25. Fortunately, no items were reported stolen during the incident.

Authorities are currently conducting investigations to identify the two suspects involved in the brutal assault. One of the attackers was described as wearing a dark-colored zip-up jacket with a white “L” on the chest panel, black trousers, and grey trainers, appearing to be between 25-35 years old. The second suspect was reported wearing a dark-colored panelled jacket with a hood, black north face gloves, and dark-colored trainers, with an average height and medium build.

A 30-year-old man from Egremont has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident, as confirmed by Merseyside Police on Monday, April 15. The individual has since been released on bail, with investigations continuing.

Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield condemned the violent attack, emphasizing that everyone deserves to feel safe in their own homes. He urged anyone with information or security footage from the area on the day of the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are determined to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice for their heinous actions.
