London, England – A tragic incident unfolded on December 27 when paramedics rushed 68-year-old Larry Chaters to the hospital. Chaters, suffering from four broken ribs and a collapsed lung, was brought in after an ambulance crew responded to a call reporting a fall down the stairs at his residence.
Sadly, Mr. Chaters succumbed to pneumonia and chest injuries on January 2 at King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill. The circumstances surrounding his death raised suspicions, prompting an investigation into the events that led to his passing.
Following the investigation, Chaters’ son, 37-year-old Craig Chaters from Cormont Road in Camberwell, was taken into custody after voluntarily appearing at a police station. He was subsequently charged with the murder of his father on the same day.
In a recent court appearance at Croydon Crown Court on March 26, Craig Chaters entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge. The court set the trial date for October 20 to further examine the case and hear testimonies regarding the alleged violent attack that resulted in the death of Larry Chaters.
