Edmonton, Alberta – The recent tragic shooting at a construction site in south Edmonton has left the community in shock. Sources have revealed that the individual responsible for the shooting that resulted in the death of a prominent homebuilder was Nick Dhaliwal, who was also found deceased at the scene. Family members disclosed that Dhaliwal was one of the deceased individuals at the construction site. Police confirmed that the other deceased individual was Buta Singh Gill, the owner of Gill Built Homes Ltd.
Authorities stated that Gill, a former bus driver for the Edmonton Transit Service, succumbed to gunshot wounds, leading to his death being classified as a homicide. The second individual, a 49-year-old man, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The individual who sustained life-threatening injuries in the shooting remains hospitalized.
In a news release, police mentioned that they will not be pressing charges in relation to the homicide as the suspect is deceased.
