Chicago, Illinois – A weekend of violence in Chicago resulted in at least 12 people being shot, two of them fatally, according to police reports.

Shortly before that, another man in his 30s to 40s was critically injured in a separate shooting on the city’s Southwest Side. The victim was found with gunshot wounds to his back, indicating the severity of the attack.
In a tragic turn of events, a person was discovered shot inside a crashed car in Woodlawn and succumbed to their injuries. The victim, identified only as male, was found by officers responding to the scene of the accident.
Later in the evening, two individuals were shot while standing outside in the Far South Side neighborhood of Longwood Manor. The victims, aged 27 and 31, suffered gunshot wounds to various parts of their bodies, requiring medical attention.
