Elderly Woman Violently Assaulted in Home Invasion and Rape: LMPD Release Sketch of Alleged Suspect

Louisville, Ky. – A violent home invasion and rape occurred in Hurstbourne Acres, alarming residents of the quiet community. The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) recently released a new sketch of the alleged suspect involved in the heinous crime that took place two weeks ago.

The incident took place on April 17 when an elderly woman was violently assaulted after answering a knock at her door in broad daylight. The assailant proceeded to rape the woman and then stole some of her belongings before fleeing the scene. The actions of the suspect have left the community shaken and concerned for their safety.

Described as a 5’10” Black man with a slender build and short black hair, the suspect is considered dangerous and remains at large. In response to the incident, LMPD’s Sex Crimes Unit (OSPI) released a sketch of the suspect in hopes of receiving information from the public that could lead to his capture.

Authorities have urged residents in the Hurstbourne Acres area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. The community is asked to cooperate with law enforcement by checking any video surveillance footage they may have and providing it to the police for further investigation.

“This type of incident is very troubling and very uncommon,” stated police officials on April 17. They emphasized the importance of community awareness and safety precautions in light of the recent violence. Residents are advised to be cautious, pay attention to their surroundings, and promptly call 911 if they feel threatened in any way.
