Employee Charged with Murder in Delaware County Linen Shooting Rampage

Chester, Pennsylvania – Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at Delaware County Linen that left five people injured, two of whom died. Wilbert Rosado-Ruiz, 61, who worked at the company, faces several charges including first-degree murder and possession of a weapon. The incident occurred when Rosado-Ruiz, described as a disgruntled employee, entered the building and began shooting at his coworkers.

According to investigators, the dispute began with a female colleague, leading to the tragic events that followed. The victims included two brothers from the Dominican Republic, identified as Giguenson Peña Peña and Leovanny Peña Peña, who lost their lives in the shooting. The other three victims are currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

After firing at the individuals inside the building, Rosado-Ruiz attempted to shoot the female colleague again outside, but his gun either malfunctioned or ran out of ammunition. He then fled the scene in a car, only to be apprehended shortly by law enforcement officers in Trainer, a nearby town.

Authorities described the incident as a cold-blooded shooting, emphasizing the lack of preparedness among workers for active shooter situations. Meanwhile, residents and community leaders are grappling with the aftermath of the violence, with some expressing shock and disbelief at the tragic events that unfolded at Delaware County Linen.
