Fatal Shooting in Arlington Leaves One Dead, One Injured; Suspect in Custody

ARLINGTON, Texas – A tragic shooting incident unfolded in Arlington, Texas, on Monday night, where one individual lost their life, and another sustained injuries, as confirmed by the Arlington Police Department. Responding to the scene at the 400 block of Claire Court around 7:24 p.m., officers discovered 18-year-old Jesus Galarza from Fort Worth and a 20-year-old man both suffering from gunshot wounds, prompting their immediate transfer to nearby medical facilities for treatment, according to a police statement released in the aftermath of the incident.

Tragically, Galarza succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead two days after the shooting occurred. Law enforcement officials have disclosed that preliminary investigations suggest Galarza and the 20-year-old victim had arranged to meet with a suspected individual to procure drugs. Upon their arrival at the agreed location, the suspected shooter allegedly brandished a firearm and proceeded to open fire at the victims’ vehicle, resulting in injuries to both individuals involved.

In a subsequent development, authorities apprehended a 17-year-old by the name of Joshua Nunn on charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on Thursday. Nunn’s bail has been set at $600,000 as the legal process unfolds.
