Fatal Shooting in Riverside Gated Community Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Riverside, California – Gunfire broke out on Easter Sunday in a Riverside gated community, resulting in a fatal midday shooting that claimed the life of one man and left a woman injured. The Riverside Police Department reported that the incident occurred in the 7600 block of Canberra Way, where officers responded to a shooting in one of the residences.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man fatally wounded and a woman with gunshot injuries who was in critical condition. The woman was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. A person of interest was apprehended at the scene for questioning, and authorities found a handgun at the house where the shooting occurred.
