Dallas, Texas – An ongoing dispute between three young men in Oak Cliff ended tragically in a shooting on June 11, resulting in one fatality and another individual injured.
The incident took place around 10:40 p.m. in the 400 block of South Winnetka Avenue, disrupting the peace of the typically quiet neighborhood with a flurry of gunshots and speeding vehicles.
Neighbors Darin Short and Wayne Brown were left startled as the sound of gunfire echoed through the night, prompting a sense of fear and unease in the community.
Stephano Osorio, 23, was found shot and killed at the scene, while a 16-year-old boy accompanying him sustained injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition.
Osorio, who had recently celebrated his 23rd birthday and was studying architecture at El Centro College, became a victim of the escalating tensions between the victims and the alleged shooter, 20-year-old Salvador Martinez.
Following an investigation, Martinez was arrested and is now facing charges of murder, with a $1 million bond set for his release.
