MIAMI, FL – A Florida man faces serious charges after allegedly forcing his 10-year-old stepdaughter’s hand onto a scorching stove burner, leaving visible coil marks on her skin, authorities reported. The incident led to the arrest of 42-year-old Georgy Almony on Monday. He faces a charge of aggravated child abuse that resulted in substantial harm, based on records available for review.
The child’s mother, identified as 36-year-old Milliene Adeclat, also found herself behind bars. Authorities allege that she failed to report the abuse after being informed by her daughter of the incident. Adeclat faces charges of child neglect with severe repercussions, along with a separate charge of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer for allegedly attacking the police during her arrest.
According to reports, the disturbing event transpired on April 12, 2025, inside the family’s residence in the Biscayne Gardens area. Almony’s anger reportedly escalated when the young girl pushed her brother, prompting the drastic punishment.
Subsequently, as described in the police affidavit, Almony allegedly seized the girl’s arm, dragged her into the kitchen, and pressed her hand down onto the hot stove. The resulting injuries were severe, with the child’s skin reportedly sloughing off and the distinct outline of the stove coil imprinted on her hand.
The child, enduring intense pain, managed to call her mother using Almony’s cellphone. Despite being informed, Adeclat reportedly took no action to address her daughter’s injuries. It was only after the girl’s condition was noticed by a teacher at school on Monday that law enforcement was alerted.
Both Adeclat and Almony were subsequently taken into custody and questioned separately. However, investigators gleaned little information from their interviews, with Almony remaining silent and Adeclat denying the accusations. Their detainment occurred at the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Intracoastal Station.
Following their arrests, the pair was processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Adeclat secured her release through a $1,500 bond, whereas Almony posted a $7,500 bond. Their next court appearance is slated for May 14, according to digital court records.
