Florida Teen Allegedly Murders Boy in Violent Sleepover Ambush

Wildwood, Florida – A tragic incident in Wildwood, Florida, left a 15-year-old boy dead and an adult wounded after a knife-wielding teen launched a violent attack at a sleepover. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office announced that the suspect, Alexander Warren Hernandez, 16, is now in custody following the ambush that took place on Saturday night at a home in Wildwood.

According to officials, Hernandez arrived unannounced at the home where the 15-year-old was hosting a sleepover and proceeded to attack. After forcing his way inside, Hernandez stabbed the victim, identified as Connor Michael Gill, and threatened another individual before injuring an adult who came to investigate the commotion. Hernandez fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter with the murder weapons still in his possession.

Both Gill and the adult victim were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, Gill succumbed to his injuries, while the adult victim remained under medical care for his wounds. Hernandez was subsequently charged with premeditated first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and armed burglary.

Undersheriff Pat Breeden revealed that Hernandez had ordered the weapons online and admitted to planning the attack in advance. The motive behind the violent act is still under investigation, and authorities do not rule out additional charges against the suspect. It was also noted that both Gill and Hernandez were homeschool students who had withdrawn from Sumter County Schools.

During a press briefing, Undersheriff Breeden emphasized the premeditated nature of the attack and extended condolences to the families of the victims. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are focusing on uncovering the motives behind this tragic event.
