CANTON, OH – Authorities in Northern Ohio are seeking public assistance in apprehending three individuals wanted for kidnapping and felonious assault charges. The suspects, Jermaine Taylor, Cassandra Cheek, and Tyson Dean, are accused of confining victims in a basement in Canton, causing severe physical injuries with a baseball bat and firearm.
Descriptions provided by law enforcement describe Taylor as a 33-year-old Black male, Cheek as a 34-year-old White female, and Dean as a 37-year-old White male. All three suspects are known to frequent the Cleveland and Akron areas.
The task force urges anyone with information on the whereabouts of Taylor, Cheek, and Dean to contact them at 1-866-4WANTED. Tips can also be submitted through their website, with anonymity guaranteed and a reward offered for information leading to their capture.
On another note, in Utica, NY, a violent confrontation led to the arrest of 28-year-old Nichole Slattery, who now faces multiple charges including attempted assault. Police were called to the scene where a woman was struck by a vehicle, allegedly after an altercation with Slattery.
The victim reported that Slattery had repeatedly honked her car horn outside the victim’s residence before driving directly at her, resulting in the victim being struck and rolling off the hood of the car. Slattery attempted to hit the victim again but was ultimately detained by police without further incident.
In Cumberland, MD, Cheyenne Mariah Nair, 26, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault after allegedly hitting a male victim with a closed fist. Nair was taken into custody and awaits her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. This incident highlights ongoing efforts to address incidents of domestic violence effectively.
