Fordyce, Arkansas – A tragic mass shooting at a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left 10 others injured, according to authorities. The incident took place at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, which is approximately 70 miles south of Little Rock, around 11:30 a.m. Police reported that three civilians lost their lives, while eight others sustained injuries, with some in critical condition. Additionally, two law enforcement officers were shot during the event but are expected to recover from their non-life-threatening injuries.
The lone suspect, identified as 44-year-old Travis Eugene Posey from New Edinburg, was also shot by law enforcement and subsequently treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently being held at the Ouachita County Detention Center, where he faces three counts of capital murder, with additional charges pending.
