Guard Brutally Attacked by Teen at Upscale Community in Orange County, Arrest Made

Yorba Linda, California – An 18-year-old high school student has been taken into custody for his involvement in a violent attack on a security guard at a luxury community in Orange County. Aidan Grogan was apprehended at Yorba Linda High School on Thursday, according to officials from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The incident occurred in East Lake Village in Yorba Linda on March 3 and was captured by security cameras in the area. The attack left the security guard unconscious after being put in a headlock, indicating potential training of the perpetrators.

The suspects, described as males between the ages of 16-17, were asked to leave the area by the security guard for fishing after hours. One of the attackers had shaggy blonde hair, while another was filming the assault on his cellphone. Residents of the community expressed concern over the lack of communication regarding the incident from management. The severity of the assault prompted an investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, reported two days after the attack on March 6.

Authorities are looking into the incident, with the 18-year-old suspect facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The guard is expected to recover from the injuries sustained during the attack. Despite outreach to the community’s general manager for more details, minimal information was provided, stating that the incident was reported to the authorities.
