Gun Battle Erupts at Yellowstone National Park, Leaving One Dead and Ranger Injured

A gun battle at Canyon Village in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, has resulted in the death of one man and the injury of a park ranger, according to officials. The incident, which began Wednesday night and concluded on Thursday morning, saw an exchange of gunfire between the suspect and law enforcement rangers. The deceased individual’s identity has not been disclosed at this time.

Reports suggest that the shooter had been harassing female employees at Canyon Village before the confrontation with authorities. Responding to a report of an armed individual making threats, rangers engaged with the suspect, ultimately resulting in his death. The incident took place at the resort complex located south of Tower Falls in the central part of the park, approximately an hour northeast of Old Faithful.
