Gunman Kills Two at Miami Gas Station, Search Underway

Miami, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded at a gas station in Miami, resulting in the deaths of two men and leaving another critically wounded. Police reported that a gunman opened fire at a Chevron station in the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and 54th Street early Saturday morning.

According to City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue units, the shooting occurred following a verbal altercation involving two employees inside the gas station. The suspect allegedly drew a firearm and shot the employees and a customer before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victims were identified as 51-year-old Shahbaz Hussain and 42-year-old Shamun Shaukat, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The customer, 57-year-old Elijah Shorter, was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Lorenzo, a security worker at the gas station, mentioned that one of the deceased victims was the business owner. Despite arriving after the incident, Lorenzo described seeing the area cordoned off by police tape.

Authorities have established two perimeters as they search for the perpetrator. Lorenzo stated that detectives have a clear description of the gunman, although he does not recognize the individual.
