Gunman on the Loose: 1 Dead, 5 Injured in Nashville Easter Brunch Shooting

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Authorities in Nashville, Tennessee, are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a deadly shooting during an Easter brunch. The incident resulted in one fatality and numerous injuries, with the deceased identified as Allen Beachem, 33.

The shooting took place around 3 p.m. ET at Roasted in Nashville, where an altercation between two men led to a fatal outcome. According to Don Aaron, the public relations director for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the altercation escalated, culminating in one of the men firing multiple shots. The suspected gunman has been identified as Anton Rucker, 46.

Five individuals sustained non-critical injuries during the incident, with one person suffering a graze wound. Authorities emphasized that the deceased was involved in the altercation with the alleged shooter, who wielded a firearm.

Eight individuals, including the deceased, were transported from the scene for further medical attention. Police have indicated that there is no evidence to suggest a prior connection between the two men involved in the altercation.

Law enforcement officials have released images of the suspect, urging the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation. Detectives are currently working to establish a motive for the shooting at the Garfield St. restaurant.

During a press briefing, authorities refrained from disclosing the name of the alleged gunman, but later identified him as Anton Rucker through social media statements. The search for Rucker continues as the investigation proceeds to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event in Nashville.
