Hostages Rescued as Shooting Suspect Surrenders in Trenton, New Jersey

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The suspect tied to the deaths of at least three individuals in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, has surrendered after barricading himself in a Trenton, New Jersey, residence, authorities confirmed. Andre Gordon Jr., 26, the shooting suspect, was surrounded by police in Trenton, armed with an AR-15 assault weapon and reportedly homeless.

Local law enforcement worked to de-escalate the situation, with a SWAT team successfully rescuing hostages through a second-floor window of the residence. Following the release of the hostages, the SWAT team entered the property. Gordon faces accusations of fatally shooting three individuals in Falls Township, including his stepmother and sister.

The suspect also carjacked a silver Honda CRV from a local man, although the car owner was unharmed. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., confirmed an active shooter alert in Falls Township, monitoring the unfolding events. Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn detailed the tragic events, stating that Gordon also targeted the mother of his children.

Gordon’s violent spree prompted officials to issue a shelter-in-place order for Bucks County residents, subsequently lifted as the situation unfolded. As law enforcement coordinated efforts to address the unfolding crisis, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro directed state police to provide support to local authorities on the ground.

Due to the ongoing police activity, the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day parade scheduled for that morning was canceled. The situation remains fluid, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
