Jailed: Man Headbutts and Strangles Partner on Boxing Day in Cambridgeshire

Huntingdon, United Kingdom – A man in Huntingdon, UK has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for a violent attack on his partner on Boxing Day. Adrian Fox, 48, was involved in an argument with the victim at their residence on the morning of December 26. The altercation escalated throughout the day, culminating in a brutal assault by Fox just before 6 p.m., as reported by Cambridgeshire Police.

During the attack, Fox strangled the victim, slapped her in the face, headbutted her, and dragged her across the floor by her hair. Despite the victim’s pleas for Fox to call for help, he refused and left her hiding in the bathroom. A concerned neighbor contacted the authorities upon hearing the commotion, leading to Fox’s discovery hiding in a nearby caravan.

Fox, residing in Grove Lane, Hemingford Grey, near Huntingdon, admitted to charges of intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm at Peterborough Crown Court on January 29. He was subsequently sentenced to two years and one month behind bars. Detective Constable Teija Leigh, who oversaw the case, described the attack as “terrifying” and emphasized the commitment to holding perpetrators of domestic abuse accountable.
