Machete Attack Lands Long Island Brothers in Jail After Hotel Parking Lot Fight

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. – Two brothers are facing charges after a violent altercation in a Long Island hotel parking lot left a victim with severe injuries. The incident occurred at a Hicksville Days Inn, located on South Oyster Bay Rd, when a dispute between the brothers and a 43-year-old man escalated.

According to Nassau County Police, the confrontation turned physical, with the younger brother, Jelony Conze, using his car to strike the victim before attacking him with a machete. Meanwhile, the older brother, Adonin Omhari Conze, joined in by repeatedly punching the victim in the face.

Despite fleeing the scene, the brothers were quickly apprehended by authorities and taken into custody. The victim, suffering from severe lacerations to his hands and other injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and is said to be in stable condition.

Both brothers have been charged with multiple accounts of assault, with Jelony Conze facing additional charges of second-degree attempted murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The two appeared in Nassau District Court in Hempstead and pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

During the court appearance, bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 insured bond, or $125,000 partially-secured surety bond for Jelony Conze. Adonin Omhari Conze’s bail was set at $50,000 cash, $100,000 insured bond, or $75,000 partially-secured surety bond. The case is ongoing as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the violent attack.
