Man Arrested in Jersey City Triple Shooting; One Dead, Two Injured

Jersey City, New Jersey – A troubling incident unfolded when a 36-year-old man, Joseph Del Valle, was apprehended and charged in connection to a triple shooting that resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two others in Jersey City. Hudson County prosecutors revealed that Del Valle is facing charges of murder, weapons possession, and assault following the tragic event.

The fatal shooting took place on March 9 at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Jordan Avenue, near McGinley Square, only a few blocks away from a high school. The outcome was devastating, with 33-year-old Christoph Terrero Marte from Jersey City losing his life, while a 28-year-old from Union City and a 31-year-old from Jersey City sustained non-life-threatening injuries, as per the prosecutors’ statements.

Law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended Del Valle at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City, subsequently transferring him to the Hudson County Correctional Facility as he awaits his initial court appearance.

Moreover, Francisco Salcedo, 42, of Jersey City, was also implicated in the incident and faces charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Salcedo was taken into custody at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus on March 11, according to reports from prosecutors.
