Los Angeles, California – Authorities have made arrests in connection with the fatal shooting of a doctor outside his medical clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, 61, was ambushed and killed by a single gunman on August 23, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The shooter fled the scene on foot to a waiting vehicle.
After the incident, police and paramedics arrived at the clinic to find Dr. Mirshojae in the parking lot, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound. Following investigations, 41-year-old Evan Hardman from Tomball, Texas, and 40-year-old Ashley Rose Sweeting from California were taken into custody.
Authorities revealed that there was a warrant out for Hardman’s arrest, and he was peacefully apprehended on Kuykendahl Road. Sweeting, on the other hand, was captured in the San Fernando Valley region. Both suspects were arrested on charges of murder.
