Man Shot to Death at Ex-Wife’s Apartment in North Harris County While Teenager and Child Inside

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in north Harris County when a 35-year-old man was fatally shot at his ex-wife’s apartment. The violent altercation occurred while a teenager and a child were present inside the residence, according to authorities.

Responding to a call at the Villa Springs Apartments on Blue Ash Drive around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, sheriff’s deputies discovered the man’s lifeless body with a gunshot wound inside the apartment. Details provided by authorities at the scene revealed that the man had gone to his ex-wife’s apartment, engaged in an argument, and eventually left.

Subsequently, the ex-wife contacted eight to ten friends to come to her aid after his departure, as confirmed by Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Greg Pinkins. Upon the man’s return, he attempted to enter the apartment but was rebuffed, prompting him to forcefully gain entry. It was during this confrontation that the fatal shot was fired by an individual inside the apartment, who then fled the scene.

Miraculously, the 14-year-old and 5-year-old occupants of the residence emerged unscathed from the violent episode. Another individual present at the time was taken to the hospital for undisclosed reasons. Authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the shooter, including interviewing witnesses in the hopes of identifying the assailant.
