Manchester Thugs Receive Harsh Sentences for Terrifying Crimes

Manchester, United Kingdom – A number of violent criminals found themselves behind bars this week in Greater Manchester. Among them is Reon Davis, who viciously bit his girlfriend after she asked for help with the housework, and a skint American musician lured into the world of drug importation. Also imprisoned this week were teen thugs who robbed a taxi driver.

Davis, a convicted rapist, has a history of violent behavior and was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for his recent assaults on his former partner. The judge remarked that Davis had failed to learn his lesson after being released from prison following an eight-year sentence for rape.

In another incident, the violent robbery of a 54-year-old man in his own home left the victim with a snapped bone in his leg. Robert McDonagh, known to the victim, forcibly entered the victim’s home, brutally attacked him, and stole money from him. McDonagh was sentenced to 12 years in prison for two robberies against the same victim.

Another shocking incident involved a brutal brawl outside a church, where a 39-year-old woman was attacked by her husband’s ex-lover. The attacker, Flavia Fernandes, pushed the victim to the ground, repeatedly punched her, and bit a chunk of skin off her chin. Fernandes was sentenced to 25 months in prison for intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Additionally, an American musician was caught with 30 kilos of weed at Manchester Airport after being promised a $3,000 payday. Jazz Orr admitted to ‘fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of cannabis’ and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Furthermore, a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint by a group of masked teenagers near Piccadilly station. They stole the driver’s car and led the police on a high-speed chase before being arrested.

Overall, these incidents highlight the gravity of violent crimes in the region and the significant prison sentences handed out to those responsible. The Manchester Evening News court reporters are dedicated to covering such cases and bringing attention to the impact of these crimes on the community.
