Memphis Man Faces Court for Fatal Shooting in Street Fight

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A court appearance is scheduled for today for the individual accused of fatally shooting a pregnant woman during a street altercation. The incident took place in South Memphis, where Jeon Davis, 43 years old, faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of a handgun as a convicted felon in the shooting death of Tamara Plummer.

The tragic event unfolded on Quinn Street on March 14, stemming from a dispute between the children of the individuals involved. What began as a verbal argument escalated into gunfire, leading to Plummer’s untimely demise. According to authorities, Davis approached Plummer aggressively during the altercation, firing multiple shots that ultimately claimed her life.

In a retaliatory act, Plummer’s daughter, Destiney Plummer, also opened fire at Davis, inadvertently injuring two other individuals in the process. Destiney Plummer now faces charges of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and is scheduled to appear in court today at 9 a.m.
