Mutfwang Condemns Violence Against Jos Task Force Tasked with Enforcing Executive Order 003

Jos, Plateau State – Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has voiced his strong condemnation of the recent attack on the Task Force responsible for enforcing Executive Order 003 by a group of criminal elements. In a statement released by his Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA), Mr. Gyang Bere, the governor expressed his disappointment at the assault on the task force, which was tasked with regulating buildings and vehicular traffic within the Greater Jos master plan.

The incident, which took place at Bukuru market in Jos South Local Government Area, was described by Mutfwang as an act of lawlessness. He expressed regret over the actions of the attackers, denouncing the violence against the task force and the endangerment of the lives of traders. The governor urged street vendors to adhere to designated areas for lawful business activities.

The governor called on security agencies to swiftly apprehend all those involved in the attack and ensure that they face justice promptly. Mutfwang emphasized the State government’s commitment to dealing decisively with troublemakers. Regarding Executive Order 003, the Governor emphasized its importance in safeguarding Jos from becoming a slum and a breeding ground for criminal activities.

Mutfwang also appealed to religious and community leaders in the affected area to guide their followers against unlawful behavior and take measures to prevent criminal elements from causing further disorder. He extended sympathies to those who suffered damage to their vehicles and properties during the incident.

The governor’s statement underscored the need for collaboration between the government and law-abiding citizens to promote peace and unity in the state. Mutfwang’s administration remains dedicated to upholding the law and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents in Plateau State.
