Plainfield Man Charged with Multiple Offenses After Violent Attack on Girlfriend

PLAINFIELD, Ill. – A 52-year-old Jonah Madia is facing multiple charges after an alleged violent attack on his girlfriend, according to Joliet police.

Madia has been charged with several offenses, including domestic battery, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of cannabis, and possession of explosives, among others. This comes after an incident where Madia reportedly beat his girlfriend and threatened to shoot her at a home in Plainfield.

Police were alerted to the situation after receiving reports of a disturbance at the residence. Upon arrival, officers found Madia in a bedroom and detained him. They then located his girlfriend in another room with injuries sustained during the altercation.
